She doesn't stop installing materials of the nest under her.
Finally she shifts a little
and…
This time no doubt, this is well the first egg. It is difficult to know if it is from this morning or from yesterday, because a few moments later it is not visible anymore.
For a good technique of egg covering, plunge! Watch VIDEO (214Ko, 42s)
For one second she lets to us foresee the bottom of the nest and the egg Watch VIDEO (308Ko, 51s) Then she hides it carefully. Then she leaves and they fly away together immediately. It is 7h10. At 7h18 she returns already to make sure that all is well covered. Until 10h20 she will come every 10 minutes to check that all is well! Then they leave, as usual, much longer.
She does not hatch and
remains on the edge of the nest. She will start to incubate in the day
only
almost at the end of the laying and then, normally almost all the eggs
will
hatch at the same time.
Overcast
this morning. 10°
Two or three eggs? The
doubt still remains. I think just two. She should lay an egg per day. She
carefully covered up the nest center and left at 7h07 and then they both left
Morning walk.
Return a
little more than an hour later. It is 9h40; they left since more than one hour.

Happy Easter!
Fine weather, 15°C.This morning Penelope left at 7h15. Her Ulysses comes to welcome her with an offering at the door of the nesting box and offers us these beautiful acrobatics.
They take off simultaneously.
A(small) fresh straw for
the nest (finally It's the thought that counts).
Under the noon Sun.
Penelope pays only very short visits in the course of the day. 7-8 visits in the morning to do a small cleaning. And 4 very short visits this afternoon spaced by two hours. They did not disappear so a long time today, but we seldom saw them
At 20h10 she lies down but he deems that it is a little early. He makes
an attempt to enter the nest; one sees his head at the door. At first
sight there seems to be a chilly reception, but a second sight reveals
that he has something in the beak, maybe it is a small supper.
