12 May

Yesterday evening the mother returned to the nesting box towards 21h but she seemed impatient. She went to the door, returned to the nest, stirred up a little the center, set out again at the door, left a few seconds on her birch branch beside the nesting box and returned and began again the same behavior.

Finally towards 22h, she leaves and this time she doesn't return. The chicks will spend the night alone. They have 14 days. The weather is not very cold (13°). But by the look of chicks one can have some concern. The bigger one seems not to move anymore. Another is very small. We leave the camera all the night.

At 6h of the morning the parents return and do the come and going to nourish them. Unfortunately we do not more than 4 beaks open, 3 chicks died during the night. This is a very worrying thing.

This time she does not try to take them out. We remove them. One of them is the bigger one remarked yesterday evening. The two others are the smaller and less developed ones.

Once the operation finished the parents return immediately to nourish them.

The mother remade the nest and hollowed out again the center. The four open the beak.

One of the chicks seems weaker and smaller than the others, it is often hidden under his brothers and sisters, but it ends up opening the beak and succeeds to be nourished even if it is always the last served.

The usual care continues and the comings and goings of the two parents to fledge are regular.

This evening the mother remains in the nest until 22h and like yesterday, she leaves. Now they sleep alone and the mother must sleep better! She looks better than yesterday. Her feathers are arranged better.

13 May

Very bad weather. Rain, strong wind. Big storm in the afternoon.

6h in the morning and four youngsters await anxiously for the breakfast which is not long to come.

                                The four ask for, and it is a good thing.

The youngster jiggle well, it is a good sign and one agitates its wings at high speed, as a fan. They accommodate the feathers but also scratch often. Itching of the feathers grow or acarids?

Of the 4, one of the youngsters is always weaker.

A large beakthful, quickly digested!

A un-hatched egg was brought back to surface.

The mother left at 9h45 as she now does. She leaves when it is almost full night.

14 May

Overcast but wind subsided. A little rain. (12-20°C) .

And this morning the four little masked bandits are there and seem in good fettle and the parents are there. And everyone chitter well.












Even the small one does not allow the others step on its feathers.

15 May

Beautiful time in the morning, rain the afternoon (14-18°).

The weather was very bad yesterday evening: rain and strong wind. The mother left earlier towards 9 p.m.
Then in the morning the breakfast arrives at 6h

The youngsters are well.
Everyone makes redoubled efforts, restorers and consumers.























One of the youngsters is much more advanced than the others and is now a true small titmouse which walks briskly over the three others and exerts his wings.















The feathers are open. The chest becomes quite yellow.
