Great difference
compared to the last year. The brood was not as beautiful. The 3 flown out
chicks seemed smaller and less fit than those of the previous year. Lack of food?
The fact of nourishing 9 chicks instead of 4? We saw the green caterpillars pass.
Then one period with less caterpillar's beakfuls but of various smaller preys.
The feeding comings and goings seemed numerous, but did keep the count.
The last
year the weather had been very cold at the time of the laying and the
incubation. On the contrary this year the weather was hot and even very hot.
Good for the incubation and the caterpillars. The chicks flew away late in the
afternoon and not early in the morning as usual and they not left all together but
one by one in the afternoon, and that dispersed the family. The last year they
left on May
